As awareness of climate change grows, so does greenwashing—a practice where organizations mislead the public about the environmental benefits of their actions. This creates confusion, delays real climate solutions, and undermines young people’s trust.
Through this project, we aim to empower youth workers and organizations to recognize and respond to greenwashing. EYTCE aims to promote climate literacy by developing digital tools that help critically assess environmental claims and encourages practical, sustainability-focused approaches within youth work.
Through international collaboration, it strengthens the capacity of partner organizations, while engaging young people across Europe in inclusive, grassroots climate action. The ultimate goal of this project is to make climate responsibility more accessible, informed, and impactful for the next generation.
ProGreenland is an NGO based in Greenland with extensive experience in youth education, international collaboration, and environmental engagement. Since 2017, it has supported over 500 Greenlandic students in cross-border Erasmus+ exchanges and worked with schools and institutions on sustainability and climate literacy. The organization also has strong ties to Arctic cooperation networks, bringing deep insight into environmental challenges in remote and rural contexts.
Backslash is youth organization based in Valencia that works to empower young people through education, social innovation, and international cooperation. With strong experience in environmental education and climate action, it engages youth in sustainability through non-formal education learning. With experience in more than 140 EU-funded projects, it brings a strong background in the development of methodologies, digital tools and e-learning resources that promote critical thinking and active citizenship.
Based in Zagreb, Udruga Zaželi works to promote the inclusion of disadvantaged groups, with a focus on youth with disabilities. Its projects combine civic engagement, environmental responsibility, and accessibility. The organization has developed digital tools such as carbon footprint calculators and manuals for green youth work, ensuring that sustainability is integrated into inclusive educational practices across Croatia.
